Early Signs and Symptoms of Prostate Cancer – Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and 1 in every 8 men in the world has prostate problems. Every 15 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer.
 
The prostate gland is a part of the male reproductive system. The prostate gland is located just below the bladder. The main function of the prostate gland is to make seminal fluid.  
 
Seminal fluid provides nutrition and transportation to the sperm.  The prostate gland also controls the flow of urine.  
 
The prostate gland also helps in the proper functioning of the testosterone hormone. Cancer is a disease in which cells in our body grow out of control. Prostate cancer begins in the cells of the prostate.
 

Signs and Symptoms of Prostate Cancer 

1) Frequent urination
 
2) Weak or interrupted urine flow
 
3) Urge to urinate frequently at night
 
4) Blood in Urine
 
5) Erectile dysfunction
 
6) Pain and burning sensation during urination
 
7) Pain while sitting
 
8) Pain in back, hips, thighs and shoulders
 
9) Swelling in legs
 
10) Sudden weight loss
 
11) Fatigue
 
12) Weak and thin urine stream
 
13) Pain while ejaculation
 
14) Foul odor in Urine
 
15) Trouble in controlling urine 
 
Prostate cancer mostly occurs after the age of 50 and if someone in your family has had prostate cancer or any prostate related disease then you are also likely to have prostate related disease.
 
Obese people are most likely to get prostate cancer. Prostate cancer spreads very slowly, so it cannot be detected in the beginning.  
 
Men must get a PSA test done once every 6 months after 40.
